“We must give [them] an environment in which [they] can live and play."
- Maria Montessori
A prepared environment goes a long way when raising small humans. Whether you’ve got a baby on the way or an older child with an unmanageable mountain of toys, I can help you figure out how to pare down to the essentials while still maintaining an ideal environment for play and growth. Drawing on my Montessori roots, we’ll find low-maintenance ways to prepare your child’s belongings so that they have an enriching environment that allows for focused playtime as well as opportunities to meaningfully contribute to family life.

Sourcing some child-sized household tools can make participation in family life accessible and exciting for young children.
A dedicated space with a few easy-t0-reach, age-appropriate toys that can be easily rotated in and out means more focused, independent play and less mess.
Opportunities to take care of the environment give children a sense of significance and confidence, which leads to more cooperation, trust, and mutual delight.
If you have the space, an area for gross motor movement gives kids a chance to finesse their coordination, burn off energy, and have fun!
